Our Story
I'm Stu Warford, born in Bakersfield, California in 1950. I worked in corporate IT Management for over 40 years, and am now retired. I've been married to my college sweetheart since the 1970s. We have three adult boys which we are very proud of.

In 1993 I spent a year doing focused research of my family ancestry. At the end of the year I presented a family history manuscript to my siblings as a Christmas gift. While most of my data presented in this web site is the results of that initial research, I've since added to it as I've run across updated information, and always welcome coorespondence with other researchers.

I've always tried to substantiate all data I've collected with primary resources, and only reluctantly accept secondary resource data without such substantiation. Some of the more detailed files included on this web site, such as my manuacript and the .GED files include references to source material. Of course, personal data included in family Bibles and records are invaluable as primary resource material. So, too, are official records, such as birth, marriage, and death certificates and census and military records. As mentioned, less valuable are unsubstantiated data that is frequently available on the web at sites such as ancestry.com and genealogy.com.

Certainly, you can use any data you find here useful for your own research. I would advise that you reference in your own records this site as a source for that data. It's always good to know where your data came from.
